Scorpio Energy: Astrology for Career & Life Clarity
Learning about your personal astrology (through your birth chart) can be key to understanding your unique gifts, challenges and what life and work paths will ultimately bring you the most joy.
In addition, attuning to the energy of the astrological seasons provide both a spiritually-aligned focus for the month and invites more intuition, ease and flow into our day-to-day activities.
In this blog series I share more about the strengths and shadows of each zodiac sign, plus some activities to help you utilize the sign’s energy.
SCORPIO
OCTOBER 23 – NOVEMBER 22
Symbol: The Scorpion / Element: Water / Mode: Fixed
Scorpio’s energy can feel complex (as many untalked about topics often do) but really it’s simple: this is the sign that knows how to go deep in order to feel out the truth.
All around the world, throughout time, this season is known as a time where the veil between worlds is thin. This can mean more opportunities to connect with the unseen realms or alternate realities, but most importantly (for our purposes) it's a time when we can more clearly see ourselves, our desires and our truths without the filters and fluff.
Scorpio helps us gain the courage to ask ourselves:
What do I desire?
What is my truth?
What am I ready to change?
Big questions indeed, but there’s no time like the present to explore them.
Strategies of Scorpio:
Intense and direct
Very intuitive and often tapped into unseen energies
Can be deeply committed to people or causes
Courage talk about taboo subjects (death, sex and finances to name a few)
Able to get to the core of a matter
Transformation
Shadows of Scorpio:
Often harsh in how they share their desires or truths
Overly sexual, or uses their sexuality to manipulate others
Suppression of feelings
Extreme moodiness
Withdrawn
How to utilize the Scorpio energy:
Do shadow work. Two books I recommend are: Goldmining the Shadows by Pixie Lighthorse and The Dark Side of Light Chasers by Debbie Ford
Pull tarot cards (or receive a tarot reading). The tarot was my first entry into shadow work, as I share more about in this blog post: Tarot 101
Explore your “witchy” side, whatever that means for you! Some ideas: dress in all black, mix up some herbal elixirs, dance under the moonlight.
Listen to your intuition. Helloooo this goes for every season, but if you’re looking for a sign or reminder to begin, this is it!
Get intimate with your desires. Perhaps you have a real vulnerable conversation with a loved one (or yourself!), or dive deeper into the values you identified in Libra season.
